The Urban Dictionary defines Whuffie as:

A fluid, complex system of cultural currency and reputation. Created by the Bitchun Society in “Down and Out in the Magic Kingom” by Cory Doctorow

I took a moment to conjure a HUD with his Whuffie score on it. I had to resize the window–he had too many zeros to fit on my standard display.

According to Knoxify.com we at the JustUsLeeg have plenty of it. For those of you who don’t know,

“Knoxify is a news and opin­ion blog com­prised of a diverse group of Knoxville res­i­dents. It is Knoxify’s mis­sion to bring read­ers, both local and from afar, an insid­ers view on what makes Knoxville, TN great.”

In their “Makin Whuffie: Knoxville’s Cache of Social Capital” post they wrote:

“Tweet-ups” are face-to-face meet-ups for tweeps. One local group, the Just Us Leeg, hosts get-togethers for like-minded geeks every other week. Sup­port­ing a Web site and blog series, JUL seeks to “become a social media pow­er­house in Knoxville.”
