That’s Right, I Said “Bird Eating Frog”

I’m not quite sure what would cause evolution to produce a frog that preys on birds, but that is exactly what has happened. A fanged frog living in three remote forest areas in Thailand has been found. It preys on insects and other frogs. Recently biologists have found feathers in the frogs feces telling them that they do indeed prey on birds.

Other discovered animals include an “out of this world” striped gecko. The northern Vietnamese lizard with orange eyes and a marble like print has been named the Cat Ba Leopard Gecko.

all in all there have been 163 new animal species found in the area and over 100 new plant species as well. A reported 1000 new species of animals have been discovered in the region in the last ten years.
