These crystals are so large that it is hard to get a perspective until you see a picture that includes one of the explorers. exploring these caverns is tough to say the least. You need special cooling suits and breathing masks. Temperatures exceeding 122 F (50 c) and humidity of almost 100% make the environment deadly if exposed.
