3-D The Home Addition

That picture? Yeah, that was the 50′s. Now, 60 years later we are once again sitting in the theaters looking like these people. Well, we have much cooler hair, and really, who wears a tux to the movies anymore?

The next step in 3-D tech is here. This past week at the CES (Consumer Electronics Association) in Las Vegas, TEC China unveiled its 3-D TV for the home, and get this…..no glasses needed. This field is expanding so rapidly that there is talk of cable providers getting ready for 3-D channels. I can’t wait. Watch the vid for a little more information about this new technology.

Black Friday is back. The day after Thanksgiving, that kicks off the feeding frenzy that is Christmas shopping. Adding to the fray Apple has announced a one day, Black Friday shopping “event” this Friday, November 27.

The ad states:

Star Wars The Force Trainer

OK now this is just cool. Due to come out in time for Christmas The Force Trainer from Uncle Milton is undoubtedly one of the coolest toys to come out in a long time. Work your way from Padewan to Master as your control over the Force increases. Through the use of a headset that is a very basic EEG, electrical impulses are read and interpreted, then a corresponding signal is sent to the unit, levitating the ball.

Scent of a Geek

It is here and it smells. Has Star Trek finally reached the final frontier? Geeks rejoice for the world of colognes has finally recognized you. Red Shirt, Tiberius, and Pon Farr are the new scents from Star Trek for nerds everywhere. Pon Farr is for women, though I wonder about the name. If you don’t actually know, Pon Farr is the time when Vulcans go into heat. That’s great if you imagine Jolene Blalock in the throws of Vulcan passion but not if all you can see is Spock.
Red Shirt is pointed at the younger man while Tiberius seems to be made for the more mature male who needs a more “commanding” scent. All three scents are marketed at $30 pre bottle.

Personally, I’m ecstatic that “The Wrath of Kahn” was not chosen as a name, that or “qagh” (Klingon dish of live worm like creatures eaten live). Yes, by the way, I am married and have children.
