“Doug McCaughan has been performing and teaching juggling for 27 years. On Tuesday, November 3rd, Doug will teach a group of people to juggle three balls during the Tweetup at the Downtown Brewery at 6:30pm. Please bring three similarly shaped objects. Tennis balls are a good size. Use a knife to carefully cut a small slit and insert 12 pennies into each tennis ball. The pennies will give the tennis ball a good weight and keep them from bouncing away. Hackey Sacks are generally too light. Bookstores sell ‘Juggling for the Complete Klutz’ which comes with three bean bags of great weight and size. Beanbags are great for learning juggling and can often be found at the Dollar Store or a school supply store. Juggling is good for the mind, body and spirit. Come ready to laugh and juggle until you drop!”

Damni it Jim! I'm an app, not a doctor!

The app’s features include:

• Twitter feed access
• Image of the day
• Countdown clocks

• ISS tracking
• Maps
• Satellite imagery
• Satellite positions

All of these features are available online but now that information is portable. This app has already received great reviews, and it is free as well. NASA isn’t looking to generate any cash from this just public interest. You can get the download here.

“Given this new type of information and its value to search, we are very excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with Twitter to include their updates in our search results,” she continued

The arrival of two announcements back to back is, of course, no coincidence, although Microsoft will feel that it has won a small victory by showing off the technology at the Web 2.0 conference and getting the news out first.

Microsoft also announced that Facebook data would be made available through its Bing search engine at an as yet unspecified later date.

However, with many Facebook status updates private, it remains to be seen how much value this will add in the long run compared to the more open Twitter.

Last night (Tuesday, August 11) was by far one of the best turnouts we’ve had. New faces were in abundance, and I for one am looking forward to seeing this group grow. Among other things discussed, the idea of going to see movies as a group then beers and discussion after was brought up. We had some very favorable feed back on this one and if anyone else wants to throw their two cents worth into the hat, please leave a comment.
