This is an awesome computer generated display of what the Earth would look like with a set of Rings like Saturn or one of the other gas giant planets. The simulation was done by Roy Prol who not only tackled things like orientation and different views, but also made this video beautifully.

This picture popped up as I was surfing yesterday evening. It was shot by the Cassini orbiter on its Equinox Mission. This picture is of Saturn’s moon, Rhea. It was photographed on November 8 of this year at a distance of approximately 1,874,061 kilometers. This is abstract art in its purest, most natural form.
